Right now I am not very good at GIMP, and I can't buy Photo Shop, so I'm stuck with Windows Paint. Is there any tips for stuff like making good looking text, shading, etc.? That would be very helpful.

P.S. I use Windows 7 paint

Even If you're having trouble with Gimp, you're going to have to learn how to use it eventually.
Gimp has much more features, and anything you do on paint can be done in gimp.

GIMP is the closest you can get to Photoshop. It's free, and shares a lot of the same features.

It doesn't matter if you're not very good! If you're suckish, and never move on, you'll stay suckish. But if you're suckish and try to learn, you'll become pro.

Gimp is underated and can be used to make very pwn stuff, it just takes a whole lot of practice. I recommend downloading it Wink

If you think just because you have Photoshop you're a better sig maker, you're wrong.

Moejoe18 is one of the best signature makers on the Internet, and he uses GIMP.
