| Seeing that several people own a computer, I thought it would be kinda fun to know what the actual "guts" of a computer. I took a class on this last semester, and it was kinda interesting. Even if you don't do anything on the computer but forum-surf and social network, you might find it interesting.
I have:
A Lenovo PC Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU T4500 @2.30 GHz 4 GB of RAM And a 64 bit operating system
Also, I have a Pen Input available due to my graphics tablet.
Feel free to discuss any of the computers parts in this thread as well.

| I never really understood the difference between 32 Bit and 64 Bit.
I've heard that supercomputers run on 128 bit, but that's all I know.

I've heard that supercomputers run on 128 bit, but that's all I know. It's the length of the commands the OS sends to the processor. 64 bit systems can send 64 bit commands, so they can get through large operations quicker.

| Then how come some features are only available in the 32 bit, but not the 64 bit version?
Like for example, my 64 bit version can't import Video Layers, and tells me to switch to 32 bit.

| The software that handles the importing is probably coded in 32 bit only. | |

| My computer... It sucks. I can't remember all of the specs off od the top of my head, but I only have one GB of RAM and an Intel Express Chipset family display card running at a bit ofer 1 GHz. Secondhand computers are awful. I'm looking to get a gaming PC though. | |

| Ouch. Get a good one, Crysis 2 and Elder Scrolls V will require a beast. | |

| Yeah. I found a good one for an insanely low price, but I can't get it 'cause of my parents. They hate me spending any of my money. | |

| The PC is the superior platform. It may be more expensive than a console, but considering that most console users also own a computer, it's money well spent.
You can also upgrade it at your leisure and in a piecemeal fashion, not when developers decide to scrap your hardware.
