Sry, short response -- typing on iPod.

I really do not think it will have a very great affect. The only thing I could see happening is a small (or large) portion of the community transferring over to Darkspore and becoming less active on Spore/Sporums.

No, not really. Why would the two impact one another? Darkspore doesn't take any backstory from Spore, so players wont be driven to buy Spore.

I think it might be a very small amount, because I noticed how several people on the Darkspore forums complained about how the editor is so limited. I think complaints might that might subconsciously convince the devs to spend a bit more time on Spore.

I doubt many are going to leave Spore for Darkspore... they're very different games, and the fact that Spore is heavy on customization seems to be what's keeping the community around. What was developed for Darkspore could be used to improve Spore, I'm sure, though, as before, there's not a whole lot of overlap between the two games.
