Reputation, Karma & Multi-Quote

Some of you may have noticed the confusing ranking system of Reputation and Karma. Well, I am here to clear up all of your questions, and talk maybe about some of the confusing buttons like the "Multi-Quote" button.

First of all, let's look at your example message:


Let's break this down:

Posts: Your post count, how many times you have posted.
Karma: A points system to show how active you are on the forum, compared to your post count.
Reputation: How much people like you.
Join Date: When you joined this forum.
Location: Your mother.

I will be going in depth about the Reputation and Karma system.

Reputation
Let's look at an example post by KoopaKilla right here.


More specifically, we'll be looking at these buttons:


The Positive/Negative Buttons: The plus and minus buttons located to the right of each post (except yours) are to increase or decrease reputation by one count. For example, if you are friends with everybody on this forum, they'll probably increase your point every time they see you. However, if you are disliked, they might bring you down.


Remember:
-Reputation CAN be seen as a negative number, although it is very unlikely.
-You can only press the "Plus/Minus" buttons five times every 24 hours. This is to prevent abuse of the system.


Karma
Let's look at the Karma points system, not to be confused with the Spoum's Karma system. Karma basically displays how active you are in the forums compared to your post count. You can post a lot, but never make new topics or help the community.

You gain:
+1 when somebody posts on your profile (only when Advanced Profile is activated)
+5 every time somebody accepts your friend request
+1 every day that you have posted at least once since you registered
+3 when you create one topic in ANY FORUM


Multi-Quote
Most of you may have noticed the "Multi-Quote" button next to the normal quote button. I've been asked what it does, since when clicked, it doesn't do anything. Took me a while to figure it out, but here's what I got.

Let's say that you want to quote multiple people at once.

Person 2 wrote:

These are all in separate messages, and we're gonna make them seperate in YOUR reply.

1.) Click the Multi-Quote button for Person 1's message.
2.) Repeat for Person 2 and the Stuck-Up SPORE-hole.
3.) Click the "Quote" button on the last person.

Your message should look like this:

My Quoted message wrote:

Person 1 wrote:

HELLO THAR

Person 2 wrote:

It's not really a useful tool, but it's there when it's needed. If you just want to copy and paste the old fashioned way, I guess that works too

Yes it is

I can't see the Thanks button, either.
I do see the +/- button, though.

I'll check the Admin Panel, and see if I can fix it.

And in the mean-time, I just found out what multi-quote does. I'll update the OP with it.

I only saw it once in the Arrivals/Departures section, and the + and - stuffeh is on the side. >>>>>>
